The Hermitage of La Asunción is located on Mount Castelo. In its surroundings, numerous remains have been found such as pieces of pottery, tiles and amphoras, most of them.
In 991 its territory was donated, along with other neighboring entities, by King Bermudo II to the Church of Santiago de Compostela. In the real document it appears with the name of "Piscarias".
