Tea County Wine Science Museum

The Museo da Ciencia do Viño de Salvaterra is one of the largest spaces for disseminating viticulture and oenology in Spain. It is highly interactive, educational, ideal for the enjoyment of the whole family.

It also has an incomparable exhibition setting: the Castle of Doña Urraca, whose modern layout dates back to the 17th century and which, together with the Fortress, has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, a protection it has held since 1949.

CONDITIONS OF ACCESS, SCHEDULES AND RATES

VISITING CONDITIONS:

The museum is open to the public from Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The visit will be guided by previously downloading a mobile APP, whose codes will be provided at the museum entrance.

If you download the mobile application, the duration of the guided tour will be approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Prior registration is required for visits for groups of more than 15 people.

If the museum has sufficient staff, visits for groups of more than 15 people can be carried out with a personalized guide upon request.

The reservation must be made at least one week in advance. Visiting lists will be configured in order of registration, according to date and time.

Visit availability will not be guaranteed until the moment the museum staff formalizes the reservation.

Contact museum staff to CONFIRM if the DAY AND TIME you are interested in IS AVAILABLE.

The capacity will be regulated according to current regulations.

Please notify us of changes in date, shift or cancellations as soon as possible.

RATE CONDITIONS:

For residents registered in the “Eurocidade: Salvaterra-Monção” there will be a 50% discount on the corresponding rate.

Payment at the Museum box office must be made IN CASH.

Groups can pay the fees through the bank account of the Salvaterra de Miño City Council, upon prior request to the Museum staff.

The rates came into effect as of Monday, July 15, 2019.

The Museum has public parking at Plaza do Castelo, nº4.

The facilities of the Museo da Ciencia do Viño are accessible independently by anyone, as well as the walled enclosure of Salvaterra, except for the upper part of the Wall, which can only be accessed via stairs.
