River Walk

River walk

Route that starts in the "A Canuda" Park in Salvaterra de Miño, at the foot of the international bridge that connects us to our neighboring country, Portugal, and it follows the course of the Tea River until we reach the Town Hall of Ponteareas and we do want to continue walking we can get to the Mondariz Town Hall.

The route to Ponteareas is a short walk, just 15 km. approximately, and very easy to walk. It is completely smooth and flat so it is highly recommended to make it accompanied by family or friends who do not like slopes very much. It is also very well signposted making it easy to follow without the need for GPS.

The path also has the attraction of the impressive images of three majestic bridges: The "Bridge of Remedios", a medieval work (XIII century), on foundations of Roman origin, "Bridge Das Partidas" also medieval and of Roman origin And the "Bridge Fillaboa" rebuilt in the 15th century on an ancient Roman bridge consisting of four pointed arches, and through which the old Camino Real that led to Tui ran.

The path can be done at any time of the year, both on sunny days, as we go almost constantly in the shade of the trees that populate the banks of the Tea until its arrival at the "A Canuda" park, near the international bridge that It unites us to our neighboring country, Portugal.
