At the top of one of the entrance doors to the walled enclosure is the Capilla de la Oliva, a small baroque hermitage reflecting the Lusitanian occupation of the town, presided over by an image of the Virgin made of stone and which retains part of the original polychromy.
In the exterior part of it, the remains of three heraldic shields erased after the reconquest of the Castilian troops are preserved, leaving only their most neutral elements visible. Thanks to them, we know that the central one would correspond to the Portuguese national shield and the lateral ones to two county coats of arms.
