Salvaterra is a peaceful and welcoming town located in the south of the province of Pontevedra, between the confluences of the valleys formed by the Miño and Tea rivers.
It limits on the north with the municipalities of Ponteareas and Mondariz, on the east with those of A Cañiza and As Neves, on the south with the Miño river, which separates it from Portugal and on the west with Salceda de Caselas and Tui.
Together with the neighboring municipalities of Ponteareas, As Neves, Mondariz, Mondariz-Balneario and Salceda de Caselas, it forms the region of "O Condado". The municipal term of Salvaterra de Miño has a municipal extension of 61.79km² and more than 10,000 inhabitants distributed among its 17 parishes, which are distributed as follows:
